A New Decomposition Product of Keratin Which Gives Millon’s Reaction
نویسنده
چکیده
The red coloration produced by the interaction of an aromatic phenol and Millon’s reagent (mercuricnitrate indilutenitrous acid) is one of the most characteristic of the color reactions of the proteins. Among the nineteen known compounds which form the protein molecule only one, p-oxy-a-amino phenyl propionic acid (tyros’n) is of such a nature as to give a coloration with Millon’s reagent and therefore a positive reaction is taken to prove the presence of tyrosin. In a recent article’ I have shown that the coloration of the integuments of the meal worm (Tenebris molitor) is due to the presence of a tyrosinase, acting upon a ch. omogen. In many respects this chromogen resembles tyrosin, in that it is not precipitated by phosphotungstic acid or by basic lead acetate and in that it gives a strong Millon’s reaction. It differs from tyrosin, however, by being extremely soluble so that when evaporation was carried almost to dryness and a few drops of water were added no tyrosinlike crystals could be obtained, neither did anyotherof the tyrosin tests, excepting the coloration with tyrosinase, produce positive results. While this was a solitary instance no special attention was paid to it, the supposition being that the chromogen was present in exceedingly small amounts and was probably tyrosin.

متن کاملKeratin Production by Decomposing Feather Waste Using Some Local Bacillus spp. Isolated from Poultry Soil
Background; Feather waste is generated in large amounts as a by-product of commercial poultry processing. The main component of feather is keratin. The main purpose of this study was to identify Bacillus spp. (the keratinolytic bacteria) that are able to degrade the feather for producing keratin. Methods; Bacillus spp. Were isolated from the waste of poultries located in Miyaneh city. The bact...
متن کاملBenders decomposition for Supply Chain Network Redesign with Capacity planning and Multi-Period Pricing
Managing income is a considerable dimension in supply chain management in current economic atmosphere. Real world situation makes it inevitable not to design or redesign supply chain. Redesign will take place as costs increase or new services for customers’ new demands should be provided. Pricing is an important fragment of Supply chain due to two reasons: first, represents revenue based ...
متن کاملA Benders Decomposition Method to Solve an Integrated Logistics Network Designing Problem with Multiple Capacities
In this paper, a new model is proposed for the integrated logistics network designing problem. In many research papers in this area, it is assumed that there is only one option for the capacity of each facility in the network. However, this is not a realistic assumption because generally there may be many possible options for the capacity of the facility that is being established. Usually the c...
متن کاملDECOMPOSITION METHOD FOR SOLVING FULLY FUZZY LINEAR SYSTEMS
In this paper, we investigate the existence of a positive solution of fully fuzzy linear equation systems. This paper mainly to discuss a new decomposition of a nonsingular fuzzy matrix, the symmetric times triangular (ST) decomposition. By this decomposition, every nonsingular fuzzy matrix can be represented as a product of a fuzzy symmetric matrix S and a fuzzy triangular matrix T.
